Our Heritage and Mission
Blue Moon Stables is a family owned and operated facility, driven by a passion for sharing the love of horses with guests of all ages. We pride ourselves on creating a fun and welcoming environment, where everyone can experience the joy of horsemanship. The stables are located on the historic “old Gus Abbott Farm,” a piece of land cherished by the Denton family for four generations. Over the years, the property has evolved from a homestead to fields for crops and hay, and ultimately into a haven for horses.

Our Facility
Founded by Stacy Denton in 2007, Blue Moon Stables encompasses 102 acres in western Henderson County, Kentucky. Since opening its doors, the stables have welcomed riders from all backgrounds. The farm features a spacious 68′ x 135′ indoor arena and an expansive 80′ x 200′ outdoor arena. These facilities allow for year-round lessons and training, all within a family-friendly setting that supports riders at every level.

Leadership and Experience
Owner and operator Stacy Denton brings more than 40 years of experience in the equine industry, spanning multiple disciplines and breeds. As a lifelong horsewoman and former competitor, Stacy began teaching lessons at a young age. She later earned a degree in Recombinant Genetics, but ultimately returned to her true calling—horses. In addition to running Blue Moon Stables, Stacy is the Founder and Lead Instructor of Healing Reins of Kentucky. Both programs operate in parallel at the same facility, ensuring that every visitor enjoys a unique, fulfilling, and inclusive experience with the resident equines.
